Mizz Halliday was involved in a bevy of projects throughout the past 2 decades, especially within the brief time Curve had supposedly broken up. Here's a list:
Faults[Acid Android]'03
So To Speak[DJ Acucrack]'00
Lola(vocal sample)[Headcase]'99-Dean Garcia side project.
Budded On Earth To Bloom In Heaven[Freaky Chakra]'95
Original[Leftfield]'95....great track!
Edge Of Life and Bloodline[Recoil]'92
Helen's Face[Syclla]'95(w/ Alan Moulder....from the Showgirls sdtrk). There is also "Get A Helmet" used in the film 'Nowhere' but the song does not appear on the soundtrack.
Cerebral[Future Sound Of London]'94(a not too apparent sample of her voice).
Hearts And Handshakes~Toni Halliday('88)....cheeZball solo attempt.
Balancing The Scales~State Of Play(Toni and Dean Garcia's first band together '86)
Shaken And Stirred('85)and Now & Zen('88)~Robert Plant(yup, of Led Zeppelin fame. She was a back-up vocalist on both those albums).
What's The Use Of Pretending EP~The Uncles(Toni's first band to release material '84)
The Smile And The Kiss[Bonk]'82...Toni as an extremely buried backing vocalist for that tune.

Re: For You Toni-philes:
Sun, January 25, 2004 - 5:14 PMI cannot stand Hearts & Handshakes. Oh so bad. The Uncles were pretty bad too. :-( Poor Toni. -

Ja,
Sun, January 25, 2004 - 10:33 PMher solo stuff is pretty banal as is State Of Play....but I'll take the Uncles over both of them.
She was also in a punk band called, stupidly enough, Incest in the late 70's/early 80's. Nothing was ever recorded but I did read somewhere of a televised performance. -

I have heard of Incest only because of a book called "Women, Sex and Rock n Roll" but never heard of the possible performance. There is an "article" on her as well as Kristin Hersh, Lesley Rankine, Bjork, Kim Gordon, Tori Amos, and a bunch more. This book also mentions Toni in her current (at the time) band, Bud. The book was published in 1994. Hmm.... -

..........
Mon, January 26, 2004 - 7:06 PMAhhh, ya. I remember that book. Only paged through it enough to read the Halliday, Hersh and Donelly(I think she was in there)ineterviews. I recall the Bud reference. The band was supposed to be with x-members of Clan Of Xymox. Would've been interesting.
MMmmmm, Rankine. Now I'm in the mood for some Silverfish.

donelly, hersh, rankine...
Mon, January 26, 2004 - 7:20 PMyeah, tanya donelly was in that book too. I just grabbed it off my bookshelf and was happily surprised and reminded that I had Kristin Hersh signed it when it came out! Yay!
I *love* lesley rankine. Silverfish put out some cool stuff and I loved her work with Pigface. Oh yeah, Ruby was OK too. -

"Oh yeah, Ruby was OK too."
Tue, January 27, 2004 - 10:36 PMLoved the debut disc..."Salt Peter". I don't like the 2nd one at all.
Heh, forgot to mention the Mizz Halliday was also a back-up vocalist for a late 80's Hall And Oates disc...also with a singer that became the leading woman in the first Curve sound-a-like band Lulabox. They had a semi-underground hit in '93 with "Ride On", musically a dead ringer for "Wish You Dead".
